Christmas Day in Winnersh, Wokingham near Reading
What could be more Christmassy than spending your Christmas Day in the picture-perfect village of Winnersh? Based in the county of Berkshire, Bar + Block Winnersh is idyllically nestled between The Meadows nature reserve and 335 acres of Dinton’s pastures country park, we’re lucky to be surrounded by the stunning countryside that stretches as far as the eye can see. Making it the ideal spot for a family amble after Christmas lunch.
The chocolate-box village becomes illuminated with Christmas lights throughout December, with an array of festivities on offer including nativities, carolling and Christmas markets.
At just a twenty-minute drive away, we’re also ideally located for those that live in Reading and are looking for a countryside Christmas and we have ample free parking too. Making it stress-free and accessible for all generations of your family.
If you fancy getting merry and enjoying a few extra tipples on Christmas Day, you’re always welcome to make a night of it and treat yourself to a stay with our friendly neighbours next door at The Premier Inn too. Which is also handy if you have family visiting, there’s always room at the inn. If quite a few of you are getting together over Christmas, Winnersh makes a lovely and less costly change from staying in the major cities.
